Leslie brings 20+ years of combined legal and business experience to the benefit of J&A's clients. She helps solve issues related to productivity, operations, compensation structures, mergers and growth strategies, succession plans, budgeting, valuations, benefits and insurance analysis, administration, and human resources.
Leslie's legal career began as a corporate attorney in the LA office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, specializing in asset-backed and corporate securities. She later joined Great Western Bank, and then Washington Mutual, as Vice President, Senior Counsel in their Legal Commercial Real Estate Department.
Thereafter, Leslie was COO for a mid-sized aerospace engineering and manufacturing company where she was brought in to identify operational challenges and develop solutions. By assuming the company’s management, operational and human resources responsibilities, implementing multiple new programs and systems, and getting the CEO back to what he did best, Leslie facilitated the company's growth in gross receipts from $1 to $4.5 million in less than 5 years.
Leslie received her J.D. from Loyola Marymount Law School and her B.S. degrees in Political Science and Psychology from California State University Northridge.
Kim consults with J&A clients on management and operational issues, mergers and growth strategies, exit and succession planning, marketing and business development, website development, human resources, client development and retention programs, and marketing and delegation training.
Kim has helped dozens of law firms, professional service firms, and nonprofit organizations navigate complex business issues with bottom-line impact. She develops practical, strategic solutions to meet management and leadership continuity challenges, marketing and business development goals, and growth and succession plan initiatives. She is an experienced facilitator for strategic planning and partner retreats; and provides training in delegation, marketing, and communication skills.
Kim is a former Director of Marketing for both national and regional law firms. As a senior executive with a national advertising agency, she directed integrated marketing campaigns for multiple national and regional brands, professional service firms, and nonprofit organizations.
Kim received her M.B.A. from Arizona State University and her B.S. degrees in English and Psychology from Northern Arizona University. She has extensive graduate education and training in Communication.
